Default fitting an sti tmic to a t2000

ive bought a v5/6 sti tmic to fit on my 98 ukt2000. its just the unit itself that ive bought. does anyone know if this will fit straight on with the pipes that are on my car already or will i need some off an sti?

i havnt picked it up yet and im not sure if it will make a power difference or not just thought id try it out. thought id ask before trying to swap them over.... probably should of asked before buying it too.

The TMIC itsself will not make much difference apart fro it being silver and look alot better,

but if your doing it deffently get the STI 'y' pipe as on your t2000 it will have the plastic pipe.

or you could go one stage further and get the STI 8 IC from the newage like me

As the others have said you would be well advised to fit the STI/PPP cast/silicone Y-pipe. However the main issue you'll face is that the version 5/6 intercooler is designed to accept a flange mount type dumpvalve rather than the remote DV your '98MY car was equipped with.

You will have difficulty fitting a 99-00MY dumpvalve due to interference with the idle speed control system. As such you will most likely need to obtain a flange to remote mount adapter, or have the intercooler modified.
