Default management light

hi guys,was out 4 a spirited run 2nite,selected 2nd instead of 4th ye bawbag ect,car still runs fine but management light is now on,any ideas 2 reset or have it check by som1[glasgow]thanks alot guys.53plate wrx.

ye miby over revved as wrong gear seletion,is it not just a case of reseting it.53 PLATE WRX.CHEERS.

most prob just a second lambda sensor if the light is on but the car drives fine

Got 2 b somthin 2 do with over rev/gear selection as it came on straight after incorrect gearchange,disnt have uppipe senser,resister fitd by af,ful decat remap ect.

Get a hand held diagnostic device and check out the error code. If you don't have one of those then it will have to be either a dealer or subaru speicalist. You can't reset the ECU either or clear codes without the right equipment.

My guess is over revving it may well have caused cam position sensor to scream help, misfire codes, etc etc... You say uppipe sensor removed....which one exactly?? (EGT sensor??)

As above........ likely camshaft position sensor error which should go out after about 5 starts. I'd wait to see if it goes out first

cheers guys,the light is now gone,just panicked,car has cost me a few quid recently.no expensive repair this time,thank fek.cheers again guys.
