Default 06 Spec C Ekutec remap, who would u use?

I am considerring getting my 06 Spec C remapped, just wandering who you guys would advise to use to get the best out of it. The ecu already has an Ekutec lisence.

I am of the opinion that Powerstation did a lot of work on the 06 Type 20+25 so these guys would be best?

Lee.

Where are you based and I don't think powerstation trade anymore?

Simon AKA JollyGreenMonster has a very good reputation and is supposed and is mapper of choice for a lot of tunning firms or you could try Bob Rawle these two will both come out to you and do on road mapping.

JGM, Zen performance or Bob Rawle, I only have experience of Zen out of those three and would place ZEN above powerstation (not that they are bad) in my own preference.

So it would appear that Paul at Zen & Bob Rawle are the croud favourites? I have now booked my car at Powerstation to be mapped, my reasoning was they did a lot of work on the model I have preparing the Type 20 for customers and also there own type 20 for Time Attack which they won.

My assumption is that on this specific model they probably have more intimate knowledge on what the car can take > or escpecially what it cannot take, like most I want as much as possible but remaining safe.

At prsent my car is giving 420bhp & 348ft lbs of torque, it has a Turbo Dynamics LM420 S60 turbo, 800cc injectors & an RCM induction kit. I am thinking the 420bhp is spot on, but the torque should be nearer 390 ft lbs?

Feed back much appreciated, if I am not happy with the results I get I will give one of the other two a shout

Nothing wrong with PowerStation mapping that spec of car.

Who mapped it originally to get the figures you currently quote?

Shaun, ^^^^^^^^^^^

Thanks for the reassurance, i'd rather not say who mapped it originally through fear of being negative about him. He's a top blaoke who will continue to carry out all of the other work on my car. Maybe just the mapping where he plays it very safe>>>> which I can understand

I will let you know how I get on this Thursday

I have had my car mapped by both powerstation and Bob Rawle and I would use Bob everytime, car is way better to drive with bobs maps.

Bob is also the premier Ecutek mapper and is currently doing development work for Ecutek on there new software, which he is currently running on his own Hawkeye STI so if Ecutek rate him there must be somethink good.

After reading another thread on here all about mapping > who would you recommend > I read all of the feedback from loads of owners and there were the same names coming up time & time again > JGM, Zen, Bob Rawle & Andy Forrest. These seemed to be the most highly rated with a couple of negative feedbacks for Powerstation

So I cancelled my booking went to RCM yesterday and had my new APs 6 pots fitted mentioned to the guys there I was looking for a remap and they were VERY complimentary about Paul at Zen > now booked in with Paul for the 19th June

JGM for me everytime, are you going to get it on the rollers @ zen and get a print out ? also has it got forged internals ?? as you are pushing the limits of a standard 2.5 if you already have 420 bhp hope all goes well tho mate

It will be mapped on the rollers, I am assuming there will be a print out my car is a 2.0L engine (jap import spec c) standard internals, both Zen & RCM reckon it will ok at 1.8 bar, I do plan on getting a FMIC & ECU at some point later on though >>>>> much later!!

Hi Lee,

It will be mapped with a combination of road and rollers, basically whatever it takes to get the right driveability and sensible figures.
