Default ECU PLEASE HELP!!!!

Hi everyone
Only joined last week then yesterday my 06 wrx went pop
the car is currently with Zak@mocomracing having had new plugs and fuel pump fitted, however, this only allows the car to run for 20 seconds with the lambada sensor unplugged, zak has suggested changing the ecu as its saying everything is fine, so my question is does anyone have a spare ecu (05-07my) that I can borrow to either confirm this is the problem or eliminate it as the problem, I am prepared to pay a hire charge if someone is able to lend me an ecu, alternatively does anyone have any further suggestions.
many thanks
michael

If you have an 06 Hawkeye with a 2.5 you should only use an 06 (32-bit 512K ROM) ECU. This is your ROM code - A8DH200Y. If Duncan is about perhaps he'll tell you the ECU code on the casing.

It might pay to have your ECU reflashed with a fresh factory standard ROM image. The ECU may have got it's knickers in a twist for whatever reason. The ECU may also have been flashed at some time and that Lambda sensor DTC error switched off which is why it's telling you everything is fine. Alternatively it could be buggered.

If you get stuck shout, i can reflash a fresh image to your ECU. I don't know where you are though. Duncan (Dynamix) may be closer to you and could probably do that.

Duncan is probably a lot closer to you, he is somewhere in cambs, i'm in Northants.

The only other thing you have to do once you've swapped your ECU, if you decide to go that route, is to have the ECU/immobiliser sync'd up to your keys otherwise it's not going to run your engine.

I haven't got an appropriate cable or software to do that bit just yet, again Duncan may have something. Not many tuners do and normally you would go to a Subaru dealer to have your keys sync'd up to a new ECU. Zak at Mocom may be able to do that bit if he's got the kit.

Got a spare 06 sti ecu which will run your wrx. It will need the keys linking to the ecu though.

When you say it went pop what happened?
