Default Quick Lambna sensor question!

Just picked my car up from re-mapping with a new turbo, but on opening the bonett to look at my shiney new turbo, noticed the lambda sensor is unplugged? (I have full de-cat). As the place shut at 12 today, could any of you tell me, would there be a reason for it to be not connected? I don't want to do it any damage by driving round with it not connected, or like-wise if there's a reason why it's not connected I don't want to connect it up again! Help!

Your downpipe had to come off to fit the turbo so the loom will have been disconnected from the sensor. I expect they forgot to reconnect the sensor after assembly.
Just connect it up again. When disconnected the ecu uses works from a default 'map' for correction but the lambda only affects the air/fuel mixture when idling and under no boost/low boost conditions so there is absolutely no risk of you damaging your car either way.

It would not be possible to map the car with the lambda unplugged........are you looking at an EGT sensor or Cat on fire sensor (classic) ?

Connect the sensor back up again and do a reset on the ecu and see if it flashes up code 32. Had the lambda sensor fail when I had my car remapped a few months ago and the mapper disconectted it. My car ran fine, just a litte rich and the occasional cel coming on when the rpm went above 6k.

Thanks for the replies guys. Shawn, it's the plug on the downpipe directly behind the turbo.
