Default Scooby Brakes

Hello All,

I have a standard 54 wrx Scooby but the brakes are terrible! I've nearly totalled the car a few times and have decided that I must upgrade them. Does anybody have any recommendations?

Ta!

Brembo's from the STI, or go for a K-Sport or AP kit.

I'd also get some braided fuel lines, decent discs and pads, like Performance Friction Z-Rated.

Braided fuel lines? How will that help the braking?

Brembos would be a nice cost effective upgrade. Far better calipers than your current ones and disc diameter increase from 294mm to 326mm, as well being thicker.

Decent discs and pads, along with braided lines will give you a very good brake setup. We have a wide range of discs/pads/line/fluids in stock and would be happy to advise. Tel 01462 488244

Don't forget Brembos will not clear standard WRX alloys, so budget for new wheels too if you have the standard 17" WRX alloys.
If you decide to stick with standard disc size/ calipers, I can recommend DBA Wiperslot 4000 discs with Ferodo DS2500 pads at the front, Ian Godneys grooved discs with kevlar pads at the rear. Matched with DOT 5.1 and braided hoses, they are light years ahead of OE discs / pads /hoses. Not cheap, but very effective.
