Default Walboro 255 pump remap ?

Hi
Just bought 2001 WRX it is standard apart from Prodrive back box i believe
i am about to buy and fit Walboro 255 fuel pump prior to remap (plan on seeing Bob Rawle as live in Melksham) is this ok to run as it is until map done

yes it wil be fine

as the fuel pressure reg does the fueling on a standard set up.

it will just make sure there is enough fuel there for the injectors when needed

thought so but after reading some of the horror stories on here thought id double check

A couple of the P1 boys fitted 255's without a map and were running mega rich and very down on power until they had a map.

Hello mate, I'm in the trowbridge area so not that far from you. Contact Bob for his advice on what to fit before mapping. I did and he was very helpful. It's more cost effective to do a few mods then go for mapping. He'll advise you on the best plan for your personal circumstances and budget. As for fitting your pump, fit it if you like as in my opinion it won't cause any problems. If you want your mapping session soon contact Bob asap he's a busy man.
