fans not working on a classic sti v2
hi all,
i have a 95 v2 sti and the fans have stopped working, what do you think has failed and is there any way to bridge a sensor to make them work? like on the old cars, any help is much appreciated, thanks, phil.

Yes, if you check for CEL light error codes using the connectors underneath the steering column. The fans should come on too (if they're functioning correctly, that is), as part of the diagnostic sequence.

Well chances are it's the "thermostatic switch stuck in the open-circuit position."
Now I know the fans don't use a conventional stat sensor in the rad (hence the quote marks above ), but gets the signal from elsewhere. I'm assuming the coolant temp sensor provides this info to the ECU - so a dodgy CTS? Don't know TBH?
