Default Downpipe sensor MY00

Can anyone tell me what this sensor is on the downpipe. It's near the top of the pipe leading to the turbo. I've tried to take it out and give it a clean, but it's stuck. Is this sensor needed or can I drive with it unplugged? Car is a MY00

it's the lambda sensor, so it needs to be plugged in

why did you try to take it out to clean?

the lambda could be knackered, but it could be a number of things causing the 'judder'

The Sensor seems to be jammed solid. Is there anyway of loosening the bolt. i don't want to use to much force and snap it
