Default Ecutek ECU Reflash

I've got an ecu out of a uk STI 8 Which has an ecutek custom map on it, I want it back to standardish, does any one do a cheap reflash service to take it back to standard while it's not in the car?

To get it back to standard it may have to be synchronised to a vehicles immobiliser/keys before it can be flashed. I have to say i've never tried doing that so i've no idea if it can just be plugged in and flashed without the sync. I suspect it may be OK without the sync.

If you can get to me i would be happy to plug it into mine as it's off the road at the mo, just to see if it will flash without a sync. I run a V8 STi lump, loom and ECU in my WRX wagon so i'd be happy to help out but you'll have to come to me in Northampton.

Your ECU may be locked out but there is no problem reflashing it back to standard and it will still leave your EcuTek licence on the ECU so should you decide to go back to EcuTek for a flash you won't have to pay for another licence.

P.S. Once it's been flashed by me it will remain unlocked if you decide to go for an Open Source tune in the future.
