Hi,
I have a Type R Subaru 1998. At the minute has a standard ECU but i have bought a 2nd hand ECU with a Autronic board, with a com lead running from it and a vacuum.

My car is version 4 import. The plugs are indentical, however the ECU does not power up/start car!

Is the loom different to the car its came off. (V3 Subaru STI)

Any help would be appreciated.

dont know about the version 4, but when i fitted mine to my sti8 the car fired straight up.

 

Its strange. Was yours brand new? Or was it from another version subaru?

 

i bought it off someone on here who had run it on his car.i just plugged it in,it fired up then i got it mapped to suite my car.
