It does need a lambda sensor which is fitted in the manifold/headers, I suspect you have removed the cat on fire sensor which it doesnt need.

Best think to do is check your error codes and see whats going on, if thats all ok get a boost gauge and ee what boost your getting.

How to check error codes.

You still got the slanty cooler to.
I have a 95 wrx wagon with td05, walbro pump, decat and z4 ecu with 1.1 bar chip. Four pot brakes and facelift front end. Got facelift cooler to fit when I get time.

Got ecu from on here or ebay cant remember which, it has the chip fitted internally, theres one for sale on here £90, Just fitting the standard one as the sti ones are the same size but silver unless you go for v7+ but these are a pain to fit. Im hoping mine will just be a straight swap with the new brackets. If your not looking for massive power someone on here is selling chips for £100 which he will map for your mods and plug into your ecu.

hi i had a wagon for my first impreza i fitted a full decat, td05,front mount, hks induction, walbro fuel pump, standard ecu with esl mappable chip, i got 302bhp an 300 tourque and 1.34 bar boost it was an animal i had a bit of a ding dong with 1 of those amg63's they are 500 an odd bhp an just under 500 tourque an i was side be side with him so i didnt do to bad considering the 6.2l engine he had an the power its got, when you get all your mods get it set up right by a good mapper who knows what hes doing it will pay off in the end trust me ive got a friend who fitted 1 of those pre-mapped chips in his saloon and 5 gear boxes an 6 engines later he relised it would of paid off to spend the 500 quid to get it chipped an mapped proply, gabbo the sensor you had taken out your exhaust its a cat on fire sensor which you do not need i would say check your acuator an check your boost lines plus give the boost controller a clean out which you can do using brake cleaner there is a thread on here explaining how you do it,PLUS WHILE IM ON HERE IVE GOT A 93 STI SALOON IN BLACK FOR SALE IF YOU KNOW ANYONE WHOS INTERESTED ITS STILL RUNNING STANDARD POWER BUT HAS GOT A FRONT MOUNT,WALBRO FUEL PUMP,FULL DECAT,K+N INTUCTION KIT IM AFTER 2500 QUICK SALE PM ME IF INTERESTED OR YOU NO OF ANYONE CHEERS

I dont think the chip caused 5 gearboxes and 6 engines to fail. I would put that down to being R.A.F.

trust me it did the chip he put in was making his car boost to 1.5 bar which was causing him to chew up gear boxes and blow pistons he even had forged pistons an crank in 1 of his engines and even that 1 blew, all im am saying is if your gonna spend money on your car get it chipped and mapped proply it pays off

I also have a MY94 SA wagon. running full decat, VF34, 440 injectors, 255 walbro, induction kit, standard slanted intercooler (good for 340bhp) all supported by a Unichip Q+ fully mapped by DSAutomotives on V-Power on 1.1bar and running like a dream at
314bhp and 360ft lb. If your car is set up and mapped propperly you will have a different car. As above cat on fire.
