ported oem headers question

Default ported oem headers question

Hi everyone

How much power can ported oem headers from a sti v4 handle? im hoping to achieve around 450bhp can i keep them for this kind of power?

Best to fit some decent tubular headers at that level and a long time before.

By all means, ported headers would work, but you would see benefit with tubular ones when you go over mid 300s imho.

Thanks for the reply bob, the reason why i hoping to keep the oem headers was they are stronger than stainless steel headers. I read on another forum that some of the stainless headers crack and split?? Can you get aftermarket headers in mild steel?
