Default no spark

hi guys
ive just finished putting another engine in my 94 wrx, got everything connected and ready to go, but to my disapointment it has no spark, i have double checked all connections and made sure all pipes are in the right place, it has a spark for one turn of the engine then just goes and doesnt spark at all until you stop and try again,
any ideas as im now lost and really want it back on the road
thanks

Was it the same year of engine you used as a replacement?

Id check the crank and cam sensor, and associated wiring incase you have caught it and damaged it. Also maybe check the igniter behind the BCS and all the earths.

Start with the obvious, crack sensor. Is it clean and secure??
Earths, have you got them 'all' on?? Connect a jump lead from the neg(-) on the battery straight to the block.

Just to rule them out if nothing else.
