Default cel fix????

hi lads just fitted a 3" full turbo back decat system on my 2003 wrx after 20 mile engine warning light came on will a cel fix cure this light from coming on? cel fix pictured below.

i don't know if what was posted in the link will or wont work, but what i do know is that you will run into trouble running a decat exhaust with out a remap also at time of remap the mapper should be able to turn off the CEL.

From what Ive read on here, the WRX is not as susceptible to boost spike on decat as the STI. Im also prepared to be shot down in flames.

Edited to add: Im talking newage.

Remap to turn light off and match to mods and make safe, should see 280ish bhp, and better all round

do you think i will be driving around for a few weeks with this cel fix in the downpipe until i have cash for the remap?

why buy the cel fix if really only a couple of weeks..

i thought this cel fix stops the light coming on and thus stoping it going in to safe mode? its only £8

it is not in safe mode if light is just on for emissions / cat heat etc..

you need to reset the ecu after to clear it once cel fix is on.. which unless you have a code reader to reset it will cost you at the stealer

yer light was on for emissions. i have a code reader and took it off . cheers mate appricate your advice.

as you have a code reader then personnally I wouold ignore the light and just check the cel is only for that code every couple of days until mapped..

yes that a good idear. i dont know much about these things and i did not want to keep erasing the cel every time it comes on as i dont know if the ecu will like it. this is why i joined the forum so you good people can help me ..

everytime you erase the cel it resets the learnt fuel and ignition data.. just check it is the same code and don't erase it.
