Default Rear diff oil change

Hi Guys

First piece of DIY servicing tomorrow - I'm going to replace rear diff oil. Seems straightforward enough, anything for a newbie to watch out for?

Thank you

Jack

err not really, bottom nut out, drain oil. bottom nut in. top nut out, fill till oil dribbles out. top nut in.
simples!
make sure car is on level ground.
use catrol syntrax drive line.
diff will take about 0.8 litres.
if nuts are stuck solid, use long bar, jack car up and use weight of car (lower gently off jack) to crack em off.

Glad you wrote the last bit! Tried to do the job yesterday with a ratchet, couldn't move the nuts so got hold of a breaker bar today! Cheers

open top nut first, just in case you empty it to find the top had siezed!
Also, it stops the gulping effect as it comes out.
