Any of the mobile mappers could do it, JGM would be my choice. Not being on the mainland but i think Scoobyclinic could do it if they are a dealer.

What car was that?

We pride our selves in our after sales service and all cars sold from here come with warranties so our customers can buy with confidence. Any problems that develop are covered by our warranty so customer simply need to call and tell us.

Were we aware of any problems?

Could you explain please as from your wording we sold you a lemon! (not something we ever do as we would rather break a car than sell one with problems)

Cheers

Hi Ads, it was a 2000 import, bought in 2004, only had it a few days and crank went kaput, fetched it back and had another bottom end fitted ( under warranty ) run it in as advised , drove it steady for 1000 miles and slowly bedded it in, fetched back for oil and filter, did another 700 - 800 miles and same happened again ( snapped crank ) fetched back again but because the warranty was just out i ended up paying for another bottom end fitting,
Tbh i think if you buy a car and something goes on it then there should be a fresh 3 month warranty on the parts fitted

shortly after that the maf went, bought a new one from u, lasted a week then packed in, fetched it back n kev said there had been a bad batch and swapped it free.

Main problem i had if im being honest is 1 guy was saying all new parts were used on my bottom end but the mechanic that actually fitted said they were 2nd hand parts not new ones

Dont get me wrong ive no hard feelings & got on really well with you guys, but some cars are just problematic and this was defo one of em

Ended up wi 17k in a car that i only did 7000 miles in and ended up driving like miss daisy just incase owt else went, Sold after 18months for £6700

Cheers Andy

Steve is the SIM from SIMTEK, so you can figure he's well placed to deal with it. Apart from anything else, they are better mapped using a dyno.
