Default 2002 STi Spec C - using water and oil ???

Hi there.
I have a 2002 Spec C Type RA.
I have recently fitted an AVO intake pipe which involved changing all the breather hoses onto the new intake.

At a track day on Sunday, the car ran fine but did not make a lot of power, used a lot of fuel and blew a good puff of black smoke on start up.

It has use about 10 cm of coolant in the coolant bottle and the oil level has gone from "full" to "Low" on the dip stick.

I have noticed on inspection that the is some oil around the turbo and below the coolant tank and down the driver side heads etc. ????

Any help would be greatly appreciated ??? I am hoping that a breather hose is to blame and not a head gasket...... it did run fairly well though.... but very rich......

Thanks for your help.
Regards.... David

What did you connect the breathers to?
Doesn't the AVO only have take offs for vacuum signals and the recirc valve and nothing for breathers?

Put the standard bit back on and ensure all the pipes are in the right place, it could be you have done something wrong or you could be very unlucky and something else has gone wrong but get back to a situation you know the car worked, ie standard pipe back on.
