exhaust started making a noise today took it to a local tyrefitting garage does exhausts aswell but not sports ones (nearest place to me)he put it up on ramps and said it was the centre pipe and that i could just get a straight through section to replace the old bit although the old bit has a resonator dont no what that means and dont no if i need it i have a 2002 bugeye wrx sti prodrive with ppp whith a prodrive exhaust fitted what should i do any help would be much appreciated thanks in advance

 

the centre pipe has a resonator in it as he says....the resonator acts as a silencer for your system, you dont need it, if you fit a centre section without a resonator the only difference will be your exhaust will sound abit louder..which isnt a bad thing
