Default m o t ime coming up

hi ppl , my mot is comming up soon and im not sure were i stand with the exhaust as it has a full turbo back system fitted . does any one know how many cats are fitted to a my02 wrx , as im not sure if has one in the uppipe .

Has one in the up-pipe as standard, yes. Although you can forget getting through an emissions test with just that on.

There's 3 out of the factory, up-pipe, downpipe and centre pipe. You should pass with just the down-pipe one fitted - without that you'll need to find a decat friendly tester

Its very very risky for an MOT tester to be decat freindly as Vosa could be sitting around the corner ready to spot check as soon as he logs the car off, i think the hassle to refit the downpipe for the mot is worth it to save his job
