What is the piece of cable/wiring which is in the fuse box in the engine which you can pull out which prevents the car from starting, effectively immobilising it? Its only about an inch in length with connectors on both ends (forms a U shape)

 

that'll be a fuseable link wire, effectively a fuse powering the board before all the other fuses
