why do classics always wear the outside edge of the front tyre?
all the classics ive had/seen have excessive wear on the outside edge of the tyre.. on my freinds car he has the same problem, the centre of the tyre still has 6mm tread while the outer edge is on limit. is this why you get the understeer too. will a ALK improve this

Mine does this and has the adjustable top mounts but i guess the tracking is out. Thing is coilovers are so hard that any pot hole will knock the tracking out.
I'm binning my Tein coilover with cusco top mounts for some normal suspension as they are great for track use but utter rubbish on our roads.

My 1992 Legacy had a beautiful comment in the HANDBOOK! Under the troubleshooting section, probable causes for "Excessive wear on the outer edge of the tyres" :
Under inflated tyres
Poor alignment
Worn suspension parts
Excessive speed in turns
Sounds like you need some more negative camber on the front. Try -1.0, to match the rear.
A slighter thicker rear ARB will also help you out.
