I might be missing something here but front mounts normally go IN FRONT of the coolant radiator, not behind it.

How the hell did you manage to get the pipework to fit

Short of cutting your car about to make room you'll have to juggle the samco's around until it fits better.
If it's touching the rad fan as well maybe that can be modified a little.
Check you haven't got one of the pipes upside down or something as the bends look similar on some that I've fitted before..

Main issue is to get it off the cam cover as much as poss.

Failing all the above then cutting and shutting the aluminium pipes so it fits and then get them welded by someone who has an AC/DC Tig welder.

As the saying goes in this industry "Nothing ever fits"

Exactly, you need to get it off that cam cover before it saws through it and damages the cambelt.
The options of what to do are above fella.

A lot of them don't fit that well as the space is limited. I'd rather see it touching the fan cowling than the cambelt cover though.

I fitted one with no issue, i would say you just need to loosen the silicone joins and rework the pipes so they join together better.

Where is the kit from?

have you got the frount mount centred and like they say above some time you just have to keep jiggling the pipes about and then this shoudl be all good

£340! He saw you coming! So much for Bobs best prices mate, Harvey is doing the GT2 kit for £290 plus delivery @ £12.50 iirc. I hope you get sorted mate, keep working at the pipes make sure the metal pipes are touching inside the silicone joiner. Dont be cutting anything just yet, cheaper kits often require pipes to be cut or slightly reshaped but a genuine HDI kit should not require that.

I think Bob should ammend this little statement.

I bought a gt2 kit from harvey about 3 weeks ago and it was £290 plus 12.50 overnight postage and it fitted perfect. (98 ver 4). He also gave me an extra bit of silicon pipe for oe dump valve. I would be looking for a £50 note back fae bob5.

Fitted one to a mates car last week. Was like yours (touching cam cover) even after hours of fiddling and adjusting.

Had the idea to squeeze it in a vice. Just enough to dent the areas that touched (pushed in a couple of mm) You couldn't tell when you looked at it but could feel the new flat spots, and it fitted perfect. Kind of surprised me the pipe in question isnt a Pancake or oval styled pipe styled pipe? Probably something to do with flow.

The OP was PM'd some instructions on a better fit this morning.

Our price promise is detailed here: Our Price Promise - We won't be beaten on price

We will price match/beat any UK VAT Registered company.

We cannot always price match against traders/businesses avoiding VAT.

Being a VAT registered company doesnt make you legit though does it.

Personally i would go to the small trader who doesnt pretend to be the big dealer. Some of the traders on here do not require to pay VAT yet!

I had the same issue with my hybrid fmic, and I think its a known issue. Either lots of fettling, or a little fettling, and some heavy duty cable ties (a few of them) into the clamps, and tied back to the metal behind the headlight- works a treat!
