Default DCCD Problems I think?????

My Mate has a V3 Type R, exactly the same as mine although his is blue & mine is yellow & mine is a 555 & is aint (Dont think that makes any difference)! He thought it was a drive shaft fault or the control arm or something because when doing a 3 point turn or turning full lock, there is a clunking from the drivers side front! When your driving you dont notice it or it aint there which I noticed earlier tonight when I had a go of it.

I also noticed that if you change the diff to the bottom option (1st Green/Rear Wheel) there is no clicking at all!

Can anyone tell me what the fault is & how it can be fixed & is this a common fault?????

My mates nearly in tears. Lol! Im also a bit worried tat it dont go on mine!

If you've got the centre diff locked up, then slow speed turning and manoevering becomes awkward and the drivetrain will make all sorts of clonks and banging noises. - open the diff up to park and turn round etc

Mine does this when i turn it to Manual its worse closer to lock that the other way i only noticed it yesterday?

It doesnt get much motorway type driving (the speed limit is 35mph here) i thought that the DCCD might have been able to sieze up or something if its not used??

I am going to be in the UK for a week next month so it will get a "good run" to clear out any cobwebs whilst im there so hopefully any little problems from slow driving will get sorted..
