A common, road-friendly upgrade is the Exedy Organic as supplied by API.

Allegedly good for 400/400

so far it is the exedy organic stage 1 clutch with lightened flywheel. Needs to take east road and track with ring trips thrown in :-)

API David said, that for the road, don't lighten the flywheel to less than 6.5kg...

i've just ordered a (exedy racing clutch 280bhp) for mine which is running 270bhp from graham goode racing which just cost £202 delivered as i've had this clutch before on my first impreza and found it a good all rounder for what i was running .

Having now had 2 exedy stage 1's I'll be going for the exedy/API hybrid next time as I understand they've solved the judder.

For general road use 6.5 - 7 kg's is a good set up - it has no downside and offers excellent engine spool. If you go lighter, you stand the chance of losing inertia and the engine can become jerky at low revs in a higher gear. Like following a bus down the high street sort of thing.
