drove to work the other morning and everything seemed fine then came go home and the engine ticking over really fast like at 1500 rpm and has been doing ever since any ideas what i could be its as if the choke is stuck on. thanx.

Your throttle didn't stick on for a bit didi it? Dose it's working's with WD40, just to rule it out....

 

Could be idle speed controle valve.
