hi guys i just bought a my93 wrx import yday spares or repair as it needed a gearbox as its got a hole in it but the problem is it revs but does not realy move anywere fast it was fine yday wen i drove it but today it just strugles to do 10mph any ideas wot this could please any help greatly apriciated

 

I dont think it will move anywhere with a hole in the gearbox. Lol. Best to sort that out first. Are you getting any check engine light (CEL) coming up??

 

no no check engine lights but it does seem like its running on 3 cylinders as it feels lumpy and somtimes dies on idle have checked to make sure the head isnt crack but it all seems fine, it was fine yday the guy i bought it from drove it up the road with me in it so i am hoping it is just the gearbox as im getting a replacment

 

It could well be spark plugs, HT leads, Coil pack etc.

no it seems to just be slugish up to about 4000rpm then its fine also it keeps misfireing like its running on three cylinders i have checked coil packs and replaced them with new ones i have also checked to make sure the head isnt cracked and its not how wud i no if its the spark plugs without taking them out and is there anything else it might be cxausing the missfire
