CHECK ENGINE HELP
any help would be greatful. My wife was out today when engine check light came on for around 10 secs then went out. I connected geen conncters and single black one to do engine check, did not flash engine check light stayed solid.Checked fluid levels & found transmission level on the low side.Could this be the reason the engine light came on.Also heard a leak (possible air) from what i thought was was intercooler pipe but found this to be blanked off dont know why.Only had the car for about a month it is now my marmite car love it when its right but cant stand it when its not.

I thought you were only meant to connect the black connectors, not the green ones to get the 'check engine' light to flash, because when there's no faults, you get the 5 flashes to tell you there's no fault codes?

hi,
23 - mass air flow sensor circuit (maf)
according to the codes i had off a friend 32 came up 3 times ,
oxygen sensor (o2),
a/f sensor #1 system
a/f sensor #2 system
i think all three codes are to do with the same thing, the oxy sensor as when i have google'd subaru a/f sensor it comes up with o2 sensor.
on the early classics the sensor was on the down pipe but i wouldnt know where it/they are located on the later model's.
hope this of some help to you.
