hi folks finally purchased my all time dream car 2 weeks ago to my dismay today i noticed steam coming from the bonnet lifted her up and found on top of the header tank on the rad it was leaking.

Im not vastly mechanical minded but it seems that the header ( not sure on terminology meaning the top of the radiator ) is of plastic construction, is this a weak spot on these radiators and a popular problem ?

Could anyone recommend a good aftermarket replacement that is like for like bolt on with fans and refitting etc that wont break the bank ?

Any help will be much appreciated
