Default Tumbler Delete Help

OK, I've started work removing the tumbler valves from my 2002 WRX - booked in next friday for a remap so don't need to do anything about the CEL as that's all sorted.

I've removed the butterflies and rods and started the removal of the dividers, hacksawed them out then using a dremel to smooth over, has anybody who's done this found an effective bit for the dremel to remove/smooth the place where the divider plate was cut out - it's taking me ages and I could do with something slightly faster!

I've removed the dividing plates but now trying to remove the bit left behind and port/polish out all the steps and casting marks - what tool do you use, I'm using Tungsten Carbide bits but it's still taking ages and killing them really quickly!

Which looks best?
Dremel - Tungsten Carbide Cutter(9910)
or
Dremel - Structured Tooth Tungsten Carbide Cutter(9934)

I would have left the dividers in.

I think I'd have gone with leaving them in if I'd known it would be this time consuming off to get some more bits tomorrow as all mine are now worn out.

A die grinder would be quicker but is easy to let it slip.
I found a file was quicker for removing the worst of the divider and dremelled the remaining small stuff.
Your bits may still be usable - its easy to get them clogged with Aluminium on a high rpm Dremel.

Can ECUTEK now map out the TGV Delete CEL ??

Back in the old days you had to retain the sensors and motors to keep the ECU sweet or use an APS TGV delete with CEL fix

Just curious ..

I checked with Simon (JGM) about this before I started - some ROMs do not have the ability built in but EcuTek can supply a new rom with the facility.

Removes the restriction of the butterfly plates inside the TGV, for more airflow ( and power)

I'm running a shade over 400 BHP (if you believe Bob Rawle) with the TGV's still in place

I know it's not required for the kind of power I am going for, but as the manifold had to come off to fit new fuel rails due to a leak and it's basically a free mod I thought what the hell!

Stage 2 completed!

Should I paint the TGV's and if so Crinkle or Satin VHT?
