Default Blitz Nur Spec RX v R

Hi, I would like to know how much quieter the RX is than the R version of this Nur Spec exhaust? And in your opinion is it the one to go for?

The reason I ask is I have read many threads on here saying just how loud the R is. I want something that gives a great noise but I want to be able to hear myself think.

Would you say the RX is the way to go for the best of both worlds? And is it worth the money over the competition?

Cheers,

Matt.

you might be better off with a Nur Spec S. its the backbox only. I have one and its lovely. Loud but not OTT. Only problem is though that you cant get a bung for the S so if you fit it and think its too loud then tough titty

Thats a pretty good idea, never thught of just a backbox for some reason. Suppose I could always add the rest later if I wanted. Couple of hundred saved too. Bonus.Thanks.

Triplexbee, No, with a Nurspec S, you can't join it onto an R centre section as the R is a matched centre and tail pipe unit. I've got an R and a bung which is the best of both worlds. Cocker, if you need a bung there is an exhaust company that makes them for various diameter tail pipes. If you need their address I will dig it out.

Not so sure what to get, looking at both R and RX, they both the same price, but many complain that the Blitz Nur Spec R is too loud and cos I don't want to be attractive to the police so might go for a RX..

i had an rx on my classic and it is very quiet. until you get to full boost then it wakes up but still quiet.

looks just like the r though so might be what you are looking for.

Thats exactly what Im looking for actually cos I don't need a large sound at low revs just need at high revs... I saw it somewhere that states this but wasn't able to to find it.. brilliant, cheers mate..

Is RX supposed to be a newer version to R, I check the blitz.jp web site and it state the R is for competition only...

I love my car to be loud, but I don't want to me nabours to get pissed off at me or to wake to kids up..

i actually got ripped off from jap performance parts, sold as an R but after hearing how quiet it was, i did a bit of investigating it turns out it was an rx.

did sound great, just like an r only quieter.

If they measure noise you wont do much competing with an R ! RX isn't a 'newer' version just another option in the range for people who want less noise with a silencer in the back box pipe as well as the centre pipe. Other than that its identical to the R 3" bore will rob a small amount or torque from your performance aswell
