Default Does a aback box need a remap

I have had mixed responses to this. I am looking to change my PPP back box to either a ninja or tornado. To get the best out of it will it require a re-map?

You don't need a remap really, not just for a new back box. If you do remap it the map will make the best of your whole set up, not just the back box.

No remap needed, your list of replacements is a little lack luster fella

I didn't think you needed a remap when you fit a Different Exhaust. Here's a link to how the Ninja sounds on my Bugeye

Just changing back box and you will be fine without remapping.

unless the car is mapped already it would be wise to get it checked as some boxes are far more restrictive than others and will effect ignition advance.

cheers all. the car is a 2005 wrx with a td05 turbo, 550 injectors, walbro pump, panel filter, de-catted. Prodrive back box. Last time Simon mapped it - 330/332

Simon, when your around the area grateful if you can check it, you know the car well enough

No remap required for a back box.
The more often you get your car mapped the more adjustments will be made so I would like to think that map on map the same mapper will always find minor improvements.

you would get more out of the mods with a remap
