Default Lightened flywheel

Hi...again!

My clutch is slipping on my 96 turbo 2000 import, in 2 weeks im having a exedy clutch fitted. Im also going to get a lightened flywheel fitted at the same time, will I need anything with the flywheel to be able to fit it? or will just the flywheel on its own be ok?. Also what weight is recommended?, its for street use.

Cheers

Is 6kg the norm for a light flywheel?

From what I've seen it is about as light as you would want to go on a road car

I had a quote for fitting the clutch by a local garage they said its a 6hr job and it will be £175. I then rang my uncle who is good with cars but not ze best! he rang a friend of his who works for subaru as a mechanic. This guy said he can do it for £150 and its a 3 and a half hr job not 6hrs. That sound about right?

Sorry to switch topic didnt want to open a new thread!

So would you say 7-8-9 would be better.

I'm trying to recall the conversation I had with the guy doing the work on my car and I think 6-7 is about right, no lower as it will have idling problems due to a lack of inertia (unless you want a 2-3k tickover).
