Default 99/00 IMPREZA DUMP VALVE or RECIRC VALVE???

Just had to replace my maf partly because of the dv and airflter i was using and now im not sure which way to go with my car,its a 99 uk classic with the weak maf and im getting it mapped on the 24th by jgm.would i be better off with an uprated/standard recirc valve or is there a dump valve that is recomended for this model car as i dont want to blow another maf or worse f*ck the engine up.

if u are getting it mapped then a vta dump valve is also an option as the map may be adjusted to suit the dv from causing a rich condition on gear change , although recirc is what subaru intended

Got a standard recirc valve today from a local subaru specialist here in sheffield, also ordered an uprated forge recirc valve and have a baileys DV26 to try out,i`ll see what the car behaves like with each one installed.got till the 24th to decide which one is gonna stay on so plenty of time to experiment i suppose.

baileys have bad write ups i belive but nehoo the vta one will no doubt make your car run rich as said on gear change and i believe the mapper can sort this out so not much point even tryin it but u will prob get a few pops out the backbox from the rich condition on letting the throtle out
