Default closed deck block

How can i identify a closed deck block from any other ej20
any markings or engine codes any were.
any ideas?

so theres no way of finding out if i have a closed deck

You can identify a CDB without removing the heads.

Look at the block around the oil modine. If there is a criss cross pattern around that part of the block then it's a CDB. If there aren't any then it isnt.
