Hi Guys

Need your help, I bought a down pipe off ebay because mines got a hole in it, When i got it and tried to fit it i noticed it has a slight angle on it which makes it hit the gear box, So i comparered it to my old one and my old one comes away from the turbo sort of dead straight, Where as the one i bought comes away from the turbo at a slight anlgle, which i guess is causeing the problem, I'm also guessing the one i bought is not from the same year/model as mine.

Can you guys help? Which downpipe can i buy that will fit mine with out wasting anymore money, My car is a 1995 wrx wagon import, Do i look for one just in the 1995 range and any model in that year or can i look at other years or models that will fit mine. I have also noticed sometimes when people list them they mention version i don,t know what version mines is lol,

Any downpipe built for a classic Turbo impreza (92-00 import or uk, saloon or wagon) will fit as long as it's designed to fit the std centre pipe (assuming that you have the std fittment of a dougnut gasket, & 2 bolts with springs fitted to your car)

 

hi ur car is v1 i fitted a downpipe to mine which i bought from ecc (eastcoastcustoms) on ebay and the quailty price and fitment was perfect. you would be best to try and return the item or sell it on the for sale section here state the version its for am sure somebody will buy it

Had this problem with my downpipe but it was only a slight touch of the gearbox - a little grinding and job done!!

 

got mine for a 1994 sti, which engine wise is a wrx, from japspeed

no issue s with fitting
