Default 2001 Impreza Problems

I picked up my impreza friday night from the garage i bought it. Was told by the garage owner...Cambelt had been done at my request service had been done (oil and filter airfilter and fuel filter) and the cel light flashing had been sorted but i was to keep an eye on it and return it to be sorted if it came on again. And had just been m.o.t'd for me. on the way home cel was flashing 4 times in a row.
Checked saturday morning and none of the service items have been changed, inc oil.
And theres a loud noise like a wheel bearing on the back of the car (wasn't there on test drive so im assuming they nipped it up at mot and its now makign a noise)

Just checked the faults on the ecu and i got :-

PO335 Crankshaft Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction

PO112 Intake Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Malfunction (Low Input)

PO111 Intake Air Temperature Sensor Range/Performance Problem

Any ideas?

It seems like you may have a possible Maf Sensor failure and Crank sensor failure. Have a look at the crank sensor, they might have done something to it while changing the belt.....if they have changed it.

Not uncommon faults but I would take it straight back to the garage. Test your wheel bearing by wobbling the wheel and look for excessive play. These cost quite alot of money to fix.

Remember, you have a 30 day warranty on your car.

The reciept also says i have a 3 month engine and gearbox warrenty. it does saynot including electrical items but the dealer did say he would cover the maf sensor as that was a common problem.

Will it be ok to drive back to the garage? i was thinking of taking it to sheffield subaru services in the morning and asking paul to check it over for me then i have a list to go back to the garage with.
I think i would prefer SSS to carry out the work at the garage owners cost as i dont have much faith in them.
If they don't want to play ball i will get a full refund.

If you take it easy when driving it, it should be ok for a short period of time.

The best option is what you said, get a specialist to sort the problems and the garage pay for it under warranty.

A bit of an update guys.

I took the car into the garage i bought it from today and hes taken full responsability and agreed to sort all faults i have listed with the car.

Hopefully this will be the end of the nightmare.
