Default AARRRGGGGG NO HEADLIGHT LOW BEAM ???

hi all i got a hid h1 kit today to fit to my 2004 blob eye wrx ive fitted laods of these before to a few of my previous cars including my classic wagon i followed same way i did on other cars.

removed bulb from holder the neg wire of the bulb holder put hid bulb in clipped it all back togeather i put red wire of hid into red wire of old bulb and the black wire off the hid to the neg wire of the bulb holder turned lights on heard a like a click/bang and nothing powered up ? i ran the hid direct of battery it still works thought fuse ??

opened fuse holder under bonnet all fuses intact ? but when i take the left had side fuse out the side that the hid was pluged into nothing happens i put the orignal bumb back on the it lights up dimmly ?? so does other side go dim ?thats with fuse removed ..

ive swapped relaysd over they work is there something ive missed or not checked any help apricatied

any one got any ideas ? as my last resort will be to put a candle in the headlight lol any help appreciated

have you pluged old lights back in first? just to check they still work? because that will say if its a problem with car wiring or hid's

where di you getthe hid's? are they just the plug and play ones or do they really need the relays?

yep pluged old lights back in still no power they only light up dimly if i remove one of the headlight fuses ?.. the his are plug and play like the rest of the sets ive fitted this ones baffleing me lol all the normal lights were working perfect before i fitted hid's now theres no power on the one light at all

if its on dim it sounds like a poor earth,
there is also a fusebox inside the cabin have you looked in there for any fuses thats gone ?

yeah thats what i suggest. try fuses inside. check earth cables and make sure all wires are ok.

once you got the normal lights working correctly then try the hid's again

is there any of the fuses in the cabin that controll the lights ?

on just the one low beam its bloody bafeling me ive checked all fuses under bonet all are intact is there any fues's relays insaide the car that controll the lights ?

Yes, under the coin tray on the lower driver's side dash. Do you have a manual?

Do you know what the lumens output is of one headlight? 'Cause you'll need 10x that figure in candles for each headlight (10 candela = 1 ANSI lumen). I reckon a Subaru headlight on dipped has got to be good for 500 lm at the very minimum (despite them being crap), so you'd need at least 5,000!!! candles in EACH light!
