are you on about the one after the maf sensor and before the turbo?
if so, i did notice that you could hear the turbo more, but also it ran more boost

Perfectly normal to get a bit more noise just make sure you dont get any overboost - just enjoy it

would the map need tweaking after fitting one of these? from the OP the turbo seems to be getting more air
Can it be fitted without taking anything off?

u get that a lot im sure i heard its caused by a friction-like effect from the hose itself and the more power the louder that same noise gets sumtimes it causes the pipe to collapse

you can fit it without taking anything off but it is an **** to do,you have to cut the old pipe in half to get it out which means you have to make sure youl finish the job

The OE pipe is shaped to minimise induction noise, and is thus a little more restrictive.
Mine is loads noisier with an MD !

Anyone know of the best place to get one from?
Sounds like it could be a worthwhile upgrade, correct me if I'm wrong.
