Trying in vain to get gear **** to come off on my facelift 99 impreza. Have a momo one to go on so want the old un off. I screw it for ages and it does'nt move. Wish id never bothered. Any advice to get it off, what am i doing wrong?. do i need to cut the gaiter?.

 

Unscrew it. Once it's loose from the stick, pop the bottom of the gearknob out of the gaiter. Simple.

Cheers, i must be doing something stupid. Ill give it some"stick" tonight and tug it off till it pops etc etc.
If not ill be back to moan.
