hi guys hope sumone can help!got a 98 impreza sport,yesterday on way to work noticed speedo needle was erratic and jumping up and down then went dead ,as soon as this happened the check engine light came on ive heard of imprezas going into limp mode but this didnt seem to happen to mine it still drives fine and revs high but worried about the light being on and speedo not working can anyone help

Well the ECU needs a proper signal from the speedo so i would get the error code checked.

Scoobypedia | Trusted knowledge for everything Subaru | Knowledge / ECU this is for turbos but i guess the Sport may have the same manual check system.

Whatever the problem you need to get it sorted.
