Has any used this castrol edge oil. Is it any good or should I steer well clear

 

IMHO none of Castrol's products are "bad"... Edge, which was previously known as Castrol RS is specifyed by BMW for their M series engines... At the end of the day it would depend on your engine specs & usage as to which product in the castrol range would best suit your requirments, as it happens, we used to use RS/Edge in our Rally Cars & it was more than capable of dealing with the enviroment it was in.

The edge product has many variations/weights to I'ts name, so you would need to be a bit more specific about the exact product you were thinking of using & the enviorment/application you are going to use it in.

 

I'm using Edge, as PV says its based on RS (though improved) and is good stuff.

Good price at Halfrauds if you have a trade card!

Very good , I use it in my road car ( M3 ) and my type R rally car , I use 10/60 in both

same as i use it in my road going wrx 390bhp and ive been using it for some years now and it never done me wrong

 

running a 320 brake uk turbo 2000 and currently got castrol gtx 10w 40.use the car to run around in but love a good hard thrash out in the country quite often.

think ill give it a go and see wat it feels like
