No a specific coilpack fault wont show up, although you might get a Missfire Code.
I have a tactrix cable and OpenSource software, so could check it out for you, if you are local to me?

If the lambda sensor is dying the ecu will pull timing, do you get full boost ?
If it is dying get a mapper to "de-select" the error code and it will never show up again, and you can ignore the £300 bill for a new sensor, as it's only there to protect the "cat".

AFAIK all OEM TD05 16g's were "side entry" so will need converting to front entry to fit your Bugeye WRX. Then you will need the supporting mods and re-map..........I did this to my MY02 bug and ran a nice 320 odd BHP

320? Id be well chuffed with that. I already have a fully decatted turbo back system and a k and n 57i. I also have the td05 16g and a decat 3inch uppipe to fit. The lad i bought the turbo off said it would fit but i have to 'reroute my induction pipe'. I now relise that i need to change the housing. Any ideas were i can buy it from? Cheers
