Default quick coilpack Q

are they all the same on all 95 turbo models?
1 of mine is "clicking" every now and again on tick over then the exhaust pops slightly. by looking at the noise its coming from the passenger side, closest to the radiator.
im looking at 1 on ebay thats all but it seem very short i was under the impression it was a full ignition lead with a coilpack at 1 end?
cheers lee

not sure if there all the same but thats the same as the ones i just fitted to my early sti mate

never heard of a coil clicking, but they are prone to cracking under the rubber tip, maybe worth a check?

there is not ht lead as such as the coil sits directly ontop of the plug

well its defo an electrical click / arc out, the the zorst pops not loud, the revs drop slightly, then it idles perfect...for about 30 secs then same again. its defo comin from the pack area dont think theres anything close to that that would cause the same prob? could be wrong tho, its jst had a full new set of plugs so it cant be them...

yes all early impreza coil packs are the same, and the one in the picture is the correct one, the noise you can hear is as you said the spark arcing out, chances are if one is gone the others wont be far behind.

FTR, the Impreza ones are a single bolt fixing; Legacy ones have 2 bolts.

The other end of the leads are terminated with a plug that plugs into the looms. You'll see when you open the bonnet... That's the easy part!

no those are HT leads and fitted to a later model car, you need these coil packs which fit directly on the plug, be careful buying used as they are often on there way out.
