You can get a straight pipe with a MAF sensor housing and it fits onto the throttle body with a silicone joiner. That then joins to your intercooler piping with another silicone joiner.

Repositioning the MAF to the throttle body allows it to read charge air temps after the turbo instead of intake air temps in the std position providing the ECU with a true picture of what's happening and gives the most accurate airflow readings too. That's what i would be doing.

Having noted that you run a 93WRX, after your mods are done an ESL remap solution would be the best way to exploit the benefits of running an FMIC and the changes that need to be made to the ECU mapping just to ensure completely smooth running without issue.

Also you could do away with the MAF and run MAFLESS (Speed Density or SD) using the ESL 'Live' solution. This cures a lot of ills and provides much smoother running than you would ever get with a MAF based system.

He already has an ESL board Francis - just waiting to get all the bits together then I am going to map it.

You wont need the MAF after mapping - but you will in the meantime.
