Welcome I wouldnt do anything until the warranty is up or your basically going to invalidate it, and you wont need to do anything to an RB320 to start with, its had all the suspension done with the prodrive springs etc, the car is pretty much very good as it is, if you want to do anything then replace the pads for something decent

yer i had thoguht that, will see what its like once picked up . was really only going to do subtle things like handling, engine and minor exterior features like the finned rally spoiler, de-chrome the headlights and a few interior mods involving suede

not too fussed about the warrenty there pretty reliable, was looking at the simple mods like new filter, full exhaust and remap, manifold if they do one?

I second that mate, the rb320 is already a good car as it is. My dad has 1. The only thing he has done to his is change the back box for something a little louder and had the windows tinted.

with regards to the suspension, you will be wasting your hard earned swapping it,it as the bilstein eibach setup available from prodrive for a measly 1800 plus, all i've done to mine is panel filter, sports cat and nurspec r and a re-map by engine tuner shes now running 376bhp and 410 lb/ft and ive changed the brakes for ap 6 pots front and 4 pots rear..

the cost wasnt that bad, panel filter £40,3 inch sports cat 200 ish with heat wrap (group buy on here off japspeed)nurspec r exhaust 470 and remap 500(give enginetuner a ring in plymouth top blokes who know what they're doing) the AP brakes are around 2700 front and rear, you dont need them(if keeping costs down),just better pads imo as for the power martin wreckoned he could of got 400bhp out of her, then you would be looking at piston meltdown as she is shes running relatively low boost across the rev range so is pretty reliable

cheers for the info greg who done the re-map? was that a custom thing via them or is it a companys made device that did it? such as a dreamscience unit like fords use or bluefin.., ile probs leave the brakes and like you say jsut get decent pads.

plans atm are..

-rear wrc spoiler with the slats
-catback and decat
-induction
-re map
-(manifold?)
-uprated pads
-de-chrome the headlights
-custom carbon hood by Nur motorsport (looking into group buy if intrested)
-interior goodies
-also did they do them with privacy glass as standerd? or did non come with that even as an option?

ha iggy already signed up on there! just couldnt post as not full member and didnt seem very busy over there so kinda gave up lol cheers though dude

re-map done with ecutek software by enginetuner in plymouth Alan Jeffery - Engine Tuner high performance engine tuning and engine building

as for the privacy glass it was an expensive option not worth the money.
with the rb you're buying as it got the leather/ leather alcantara option doesnt look the same with the blue interior

i dont bother looking at the mpg,id say at a push with steady driving 25mpg

with regards to the leather option, you're right with the leather alcantara option, slightly more as an option but worth it imo,are you going to fit the defi gauges in?the dash looks soooo much nicer with them fitted

the gauges aint cheap around 200 plus each gauge control unit 70 ish and anything from 100 upwards for a decent pod to house them

Size: 77.5 KB

the pod im using is the zerosports carbon fibre hood which was around the 250 ish mark

Hi mate after looking at this myself I have come to the conclusion that ported headers (manifold) are the way to go, if you do a search for Harveys ported header's it will explain.
What sort of power are you after a simple decat ,panel filter and remap can see you around the 360 BHP mark.

Personally, if you intend on carrying out a series of modifications to the car, I would not bother with a 320 if I were you, as it will only devalue the car in the future. Most people who buy these sort of limited edition cars tend to frown on ones that have had extensive mods done to them.

I would save my money initially and buy an 06/07 STi and go from there.

By the way, FWIW, I don't rate the std suspension on the 320.

^^^^ i agree with going overboard with modifications, but how do you come to that conclusion with the suspension(its far in front of the 07 sti setup)

I personally found it really harsh and bumpy on the one that I drove, although I admit that it was on normal type roads.

Maybe when pushing it on B roads etc, it may come into its own.

I actualy found it worse than any coilover set up I have had on my own blobeye.

All IMO of course.

The RB320 is a very special Scoob. If you re-map it when it's in Subaru Warranty, Subaru will not touch the car.

Leave it alone and respect what it is, don't drive it through Halfords and destroy it like the numpty on here selling the WR1
