Default Boost gauge sudden drops

Hi my cars a uk97 turbo and have never had a problem until about an hour ago , was doing a bit of running about and was just going along at 30mph when it felt like my foot had backed off the pedel for a split second , then i did it again on low revs at about 20 - 25 mph like a very quick fuel cut then i noticed the boost going up and down not getting over 0.0 bar , i did,nt boot it to see if it boosts ok because the roads are too icey , turned into my road at very low speed and it cut out but started again , no check light came on at any time ,anyone got any ideas cheers in advance

i would check for a pipe that may have sliped off. it does sound familiar. the loss in pressure in the intake will caue the needle to drop on gauge and will cause you to stall but sounds like it mybe only slightly off of worn.

are you still running a top mount. any mods to the car?

i would be looking at all the pipes around the inlet manifold (vacuum lines) and also the pipes on intercooler. i suspect one of these may be loose

Hi , just took it again and tried to boot it but the big kicks not there and just boosts to 0.5 bar , got it back and had a look under bonnet and there a clicking coming from A in the photo , took b plug out and engine stops , plug it back in again and its starts , reved it up and could hear slight clicking come from drivers strut mount where i took the pic , drop the bonnet and car cut out , took it round the block and it kept cutting out on low or no revs , got it back and the idle was at 1000 revs instead of 750 , turned it off and could here this clicking continue for about 2 or 3 secs never done this before , any ideas and come someone identify A , B and C in the photo for me , thanks
