Default INDUCTION PROBLEM

been looking at the engine bay this evening as to how I go about fitting my induction kit, its a 1994 wagon wrx, however right infront of the airbox behind the front driver side headlight appears to be some metal pipework which are right in the way of where the cone will be? any suggestions or am i just being really thick?

metal pipework will possibly be you ABS.
Does the IK remove the resonator box of the standard induction system?
You can
A: Not bother with the kit and sell it on as the OE airbox is good for 300bhp
B: Use a hard pipe to replace the resonator part of the induction system like this
