Default reseting ECU

Just a quick question, when i bought the scooby the guy who owned it had put just normal unleaded in and he said for better performance i need to run it on vpower. He said i have to disconnect the battery for 4 hours so the ecu can learn to go back to vpower not normal unleaded. Is this true??

thanks

It will adjust automatically but you might notice more of a kick if you reset it but the end result will be the same.
