Quick question,,
what issues would you get by adding 1000cc injectors onto car to be mapped for 400 -420 bhp. Would it be a bad idea? if so why can injectors be 'too large' for their purpose?
Your mapper shouldn't have an issue mapping/scaling them and they won't increase fuel consumption. Although I'd go for smaller injectors for your goals tbh.

How can they not increase fuel consumption? just wondering

If the size and dead times are spot on then the ECU knows how long to open them for for the amount of fuel required. I.e. if when it had 500cc's it required 10ms opening time, it would only require 5ms for the 1000cc's, in simple terms.

I run 750cc at 4bar fuel pressure and mine is about 570bhp?? 1000cc injectors are normally a nightmare unless you get the right type or the right ECU. If your only at 400bhp why not use 550cc ones???

550's? I have 565cc pink injectors already in my Spec C running 353bhp. i thought that 740 or 800cc would be the next move up for over 400?
BTW - i've been offered 1000cc injectors(hence the thread) but will not be taking them
